Re: Help me with turbo!
Everyone will probably tell you to search. Either that or pick up a couple of books on turbos and see if it's what you wanna do. The transportation section in borders has all kinds of books on what you can do to make your sport compact car faster. Some things you might consider looking into if you're not going to do turbo would be an intake manifold, engine management, camshaft, or even an engine swap if you really wanna do that.
Re: Help me with turbo!
speedfoos posted this for me when i asked a question around the same guidelines, you might not take it seriously, or you might. No matter how you look at it I knew dick about turbos when i asked the question, now i now a littel bit, the book actually helped alot, hit it up if you can.
You need to search. A lot. Buy or check out Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost" from your library.
Then go read the FAQs in Forced Induction section.
Then read this:

Then go and look around the F/I section some more.
Then go look at the only reputable retailer who sells a turbo kit for our car. www.dezod.com

Re: Help me with turbo!
well if you have an si hatch that means you have the k20a3 engine so for a bit more performance you could get the a2 or z3 head for your car. Your car puts out like 160hp now and a k20a2 puts out 200ish. and the head swap would cost you less than 1000 i think. also look into supercharging. ive heard that supercharging a k20 is very effective and it isnt as much of a hassle as a turbo
Well DUDE... have you ever been in a turbo'd car? It will pull you back in the seat when it kicks in, and ESPECIALLY with that K20 motor! Dam, you can run 10psi on stock internals, I hear those motors are such a strong block! You just need to ride in a friend's boosted car and you'll be sure to boost
However, those Honda motors running n/a at 230whp are going to put you hella back in the seat TOO, so... that would be gnarly. Can't you do a head swap to a newer K20 head?

if i had a k20 engine i would def. do an n/a build. most of us with d17 prob. wouldnt see those kinda number with a turbo.
but since i have a d17, i wouldnt swap. just build on what i have. sure it would cost more to build my engine than to swap, but i dont care. its half the fun.
