D16y7cam switch with a B16 Cam

I Have a D16 engine its stock other than a cold air intake. IM wanting to rebuild the motor Is It possible to stick a B16 cam in a D16 motor I know they have the same amount of valves.

well seeing as the b16 has 2 cams and the d16 has one. im gonna go out on a limb and say that it's not possible.

a D series has 16 lobes (or 20 for VTEC) on one cam.
A B series has 12 lobes on each of 2 cams (8 primaries and 4 for VTEC).

So the simple answer is no, but for so many different reasons.

it would be cheaper just to swap in a b18c1 then trying to build up a d16. cams won't help you without the support mods like springs, valves and hondata.
