advice for keyless entry?
advice for keyless entry?
Hi,
I have a '92 4 door civic LX w/ automatic locks...........and I want keyless entry.
I have never worked with a keyless system before, but if I just want to press and button to lock/unlock the doors, I'm guessing an aftermarket system can do that for reasonably cheap. Does anyone have a suggestion for a cheap system for this purpose?
I'm hoping to just pop the panel off, twist/solder a few wires to the current driver's side switch, and have it work from there. Is this unrealistic?
thanks

Re: advice for keyless entry?
I had great luck with the basic keyless only unit sold by Crutchfield. Great range easy hook-up. Similar to http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...ry&i=514REC11P
Since you have the LX it's simple. Power & Ground / Lock & un-lock triggers
