purging is releasing the excess nitrous oxide from the system.
the purge valve is usually located around the windshield washer or wiper.
it goes pssssst noise and looks pretty cool.

Wouldn't that be stupid to purge, if you see it?! You're driving normally, cooling down your system, and then you decide to purge. WOOSH, you're blinded by 'smoke'...??
It's a good idea to purge, I remember seeing pics of a Civic blown to bits because he didn't purge his excess N2O.... Or was that because of a bottle warmer?

whos stupid enough to purge while they drive
i meant after someone uses nitrous they pull over and they purge[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/IMG]
actually a purge is for releasing the air out of the nitrous line and filling it with nitrous- that way when you hit the nitrous it will instantly kick in- usually it takes a secont to reach the motor bc the line is not purged- its kinda like bleeding brakes
