LED lights?
LEDs are not really "brighter"... they're more intense. some can nearly blind you when looking at them directly head-on, but move it just a few degrees to the side and it will disappear. sorta like a laser... a really narrow viewing angle. you can diffuse an LED with some sort of lens, the frosted style for example, and you can see it from a wider angle, although it will be significantly dimmer than head-on. one cool possibility i noticed while messin' around with my car was that putting yellow LEDs in the rear turn signal lens still came out yellow! that's how intense LEDs are -- so i'm trying to hook some up to the rear blinker so it will blink yellow, but the lens will still remain red.
does anyone have a link to a good led site? One that I know is ledtronics
I've seen a place that has 7443 LED replacements... somewhere online.
But also with LED replacement bulbs... the resistance on your blinker system goes way down.
I.E. Instant hyper blinker.
When I put in some replacement LED's for my rear turn signal, I had already had a DIY hyperblinker running, and with the LED's in place, the damn thing turned into a strobe light. just guessing, but it was probably around 10-15x
So now, I'm adding resistance to my "hyper" blinker to keep that speed down.
