Suspension suggestion?

Hey guys i have 1300 bucks on me and many of the people on this forum suggested that i go out and buy a nice set of suspensions. I looked around and found that there were tons of choices lol. So i read around and found people generally said that full coilovers were the way to go.

Now i only have 1300 bucks so what good set of coilovers can i buy? I looked at Tein Super Street Coilover Kit-Civic 01+ (w/o Upper Mount) for 1165 dollars at dezod.com

I dont know what upper mount means and is this a full coilover or sleeved coilovers (no idea what sleeved means.)

Soo any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

Re: Suspension suggestion?

get the upper mounts and i'd reccomend super street. I would also reccomend kw, or megan for coils. I have tein flex and i love them. But they are very pricey. I'd check out thmotorsports because they're a bit cheaper there. There are tonnes of coilovers out there just gotta find the ones that meet your needs. I took 4 months to decide on the ones i wanted.

Upper mounts are things that fit on top of the struts and spring (or coilover) that bolt into the top of the strut tower. Upper mounts from tein in your case are definantly worth the money because they offer camber adjustment

Full coilovers- A height adjustible strut and spring all in one

Sleeve coilover- Fits over a strut like a lowering spring but you can adjust the height but generallly poor performance unless you get like konis and ground controls

people who are better at explainin help me out

Re: Suspension suggestion?

even mixing it up can have great results too!

Example would be my R-Series with Eibach Prokit coils, FG2 swaybars, stock dampeners, SkunK2 rear camber kit.

Car rides on a rail but i do want to upgrade the shocks to Tokico's when they are available.

See if theres a better sway bar for your yr/make/model, look for better bushings ,maybe even Energy made em already?

What are you prepping the car for? Street use or competition?
