Replacing TSI system with AEM
Replacing TSI system with AEM
So I'm replacing my TSI fuel system this weekend with the new AEM fuel management system. I am using stock injectors with the additional two from the TSI injector block. My question is will my standard 4 injectors be enough to handle the injection required or will I have to keep the 2 extra injectors and use the AEM system to control them as well? Or should I ditch the TSI injector block and just get the RSX injectors? Any input would be appreciated!

i think everyone will agree with rsx injectors. it will be a lot easier to tune and its just less of a hassle rather than screwing around with the tsi injector box.

RSX injectors or srt 4 injectors ftw. I urge you not to use stock injectors on a turbo setup. They are only good to like 3 psi if that and the tsi fuel system is not a safe way of tuning since its simply adding fuel like nitrous.

Re: Replacing TSI system with AEM
I'm doing same thing, replacing TSI unit with AEM F/IC.
AEM cant control uneven number of additional injectors, unless you'll use 4 extra of them, one per each stock injectors.
I've replaced stock ones with SRT-4 ones, with correction factor of -57%.
For now I run both together F/IC and TSI unit.
I'm playing with F/IC and learning how to tune it.

I would recommend using larger injectors without a doubt. I will look into a way for you guys to continue to use the up stream injectors from the TSI injectors and the F/IC.

Re: Replacing TSI system with AEM
After consulting with John at AEM, this is possible. Here is how it has to be done:
Use two of the injector inputs and TAP into the primary injectors. Use those two injector outputs to drive 2 additional injectors. They will get their phasing and PW info from the tapped injectors. Put -100% in the maps to turn them off. 0 in the map will give the SAME PW to the upstream injectors as the primary injectors.

just installed it tonight so not 100% sure if everything is correct. I didn't want to spend anymore time today on it. I'll post up when I have some new info but everything looks good so far...I'm keeping my fingers crossed
