hiding neons??/

i got some blue neons for my car( i know , oh well ) and i want to mount them under the 2 front seats, but the carpet isn't good for using the sticky stuff, but
is there a way to put them there without drilling and if so whats the easiest way...(they are both 12")

I have them under my seat with 12" in the front and 12" in the back on both sides and just cut little holes in the carpet and used tie-raps for hold them down.

why cut holes in the carpet, when you could strap them to the underside of the seats?

I ran the wires for the neons under the carpet. So the holes were already there from the wiring. and instead of have the wires going up the underside of the seat and have the chance of hitting them i used tied them to the carpet.

why didn't you run them down the center console? i'm sure it would have been easier.

chance of hitting them? i've had them there for ages.. and many people have followed both toastyghosty and my lead and done the same.

i'm sure you way is more than handy, but the way i did it, nothing needs to me cut or mangled.. i'm sure alot of people would rather not cut holes in their cars.

probably would of been. but i usually slip my CD case under my seat when i park my car. In my friends he wired them to under the seat and kept hitting the wire with his CD case. So i just did it the harder way to avoid that.

i don't know what type of tubes you have but i have the fat ones, not the thin one's
so i mounted them to the carpet. On the passenger side the neon gets in the way of the bar that slides the seat foward. i'm still trying to relocate them some where else to get better use of the glow
and you should run the wire under the center console.
that's what i did.

good luck
o.. and i have (2) 10's in the front and 15" in the trunk

i think the majority of people have the regular sized ones.. which are the ones you refer to as 'fat'.

TopFuel will become famous soon enough
i have 2- 20" sound activated strobes under the feet of the passenger and driver's side in my coupe. Theres always the chance people will kick it when they sit in your seat but i just put them there just cause it looks better and the effect of the color is much better. Also i was too lazy to wire the wires under the carpet so i just drilled into the panels that are under there and screwed them into the panels and put them back in. If anyone wants to see...come down to san dimas =P haha. That also allows me to get the larger strobes instead of workin with 12"s

i want to put a couple neons under my seats, but i'm not sure how to wire them. i was thinking to mount them at an angle so they don't get in the way of the seat lever thingy, the drivers side doing \ and the passanger / what do you think? i was going to just get some velcro and wrap it around something under the seat.

btw, should i mount them to the seat itself so it moves foward and backward, or to the frame piece?
