Brake light out, yet bulb is fine
Brake light out, yet bulb is fine
Can anyone help me? My 02 coupe's brake light is out on the driver's side. The bulb is shines when I turn my headlights on, but does not get brighter when I hit the brake. I've tried replacing the bulb, but it doesn't work. I don't know what could be the problem? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Put a voltimeter on the wires to see if you're getting power. Are they gone on both sides? Can you switch the bulb from the other side that you know works?

Inspect the socket, may be corroded or one of the pins could be damaged.
Remove and install the connector going into the socket. (re-seat)
Get a meter or test light to check if voltage present.
