Im not sure where I am supposed to post this type of question but this seemed closest. Well for starters i know nothing about cars. I have a 95 honda civic and it just started acting up. When i am idle the temperature gauge rises up to hot but when i am driving it goes back to normal. The other day i checked the antifreeze and it had absolutly none in it so i filled it up thinking that was the problem, but my car still does the same thing. There is some kind of leakage under my car. i have no idea what it is leaking but the leak is on the drivers side under the very front of the car. If anyone can help me figure out what could possibly be wrong with my car i would greatly appreciate it!

i coule be an anti freeze problem. its leaking and ur car isnt keeping its circulation. check it again seee if its almost out. also check the resavor (sp) of the coolant.

yeah, what color is the fluid. most of the time if you have an antifreeze leak or a coolant leak it smells kinda like maple syrup through the a/c. i had a problem like this with my former car, but it was a coolant leak, replaced the hose and it's ok ever since. i dunno, you could take it somewhere and get all the hoses eyed over, but you're gonna have to lay down some money.

what color is the liquid thats leaking...green? clear? black? it could be the hose going from ur water pump to ur block. i doubt its a headgasket. it could be ur water pump in general.
