A/C Issue
My girls' car is having an issue. Its a 02 EX, auto trans.
When the A/C is on, it works great, blows cold air. When the compressor cycles on, the idle drops WAY down, like the car wants to die, then it clicks off and idle returns to normal. What would cause this?
Also, while driving with the A/C on (freeway, around town doesn't matter), the car drives normal, air blows cold but it makes a super strange noise. Sounds like water dripping into a bucket of water. Like the noise you make when you flick your finger on your cheek. I have never heard such a noise in the years I have been working on car, this confuses the hell out of me. It does it at completely random times, sometimes it will do it once every 2 min, sometimes it won't do it for 30 min....
I don't know much about hvac systems, but I know my way around a car. Any ideas on what I should check or what could cause that weird noise?
Oh, there is also a squeek noise coming from the brakes when you LET OFF the pedal or put the e-brake DOWN. Its not anything to do with the front, they are perfect. I haven't had a chance to pull the back apart but before I do, anyone have an idea what this might be?
