what other parts do i need?

found a built ex head for a decent price the guy says its missing parts. (solenoid and cam oil seal or something) if i were to buy this and get a solenoid from honda or something do u think it would be ready to bolt on? Also would the valve cover from my lx fit on?

wtf is he talking about in that listing "D17A6"???? either way, that thing looks good, but i don't know if your valve cover will fit, and you need to get a controller for the vtec. also, you will need that solenoid, the wiring, and any seals not included. all in all, not really seeing this being worth it. what are you hoping to gaing by swapping heads??

that is a stock rebuilt head. you might as well save yourself $200 and buy a used low milage head that is complete. for the 7-10 hp youll gain it really isnt worth it unless you plan to build the motor. you WILL spend time adjusting the valves and mating it to the lx block as well as fine tuning. be prepared to spend about $1k to make everything work properly

ok well its not that easy to find a d17a2 head. honda wants 2200 for one (no fcking way) and the only one i could find is that thing on ebay. idk.

well if its 320 rebuilt and milled, thats pretty cheap. You need the solenoid, the cam position sensor, it looks like a cam gear, there's an oil seal on both sides of the cam, if its missing the cam plug, it may be missing the ring behind the gear too, you also need the water neck/EGR valve assembly from the passenger side of the head. that head is quite incomplete unless you have another EX head to swap some parts over from.

you can find them here as well. take your time no need to rush and pay moe than its worth. that head is going ot end up costing you more than you think
