engine whines in idol??

engine whines in idol?? i just got an 07 civic si, and i love it, but when i shift, and i have the clutch all the way in and my foot all the way off the gas, the engine whines. i was wondering if this is normal, the dealership told me it was so you can make quicker shifts, but i dunno if i believe them 
lol. so if any of you know weather or not its supposed to do this, a response would be appreciated. thanks

it spelled idle, not idol. i dont know alot about that. but i know my truck whines when it IDLES, but its the pilot bearing, i think thats what its called, cant exactly remember right now, it might be that. or it might be the tightness of all the new parts also.

our motors have a chain drivin balancer that could be the whine you are hearing.
