what do you guys think???

sup guys, I came on here a long time ago and asked if I could use 04 Ep3 struts and shocks on my wifes 01 civic ex and i was told that you couldnt use them unless you drilled out the the hole on the knuckle which was 14mm to 16mm I think thats what they were, anyways i read that someone else did it on here to so i said f**k it im gonna do it too. I was also told that if i bought lowering springs to buy them for the 01 civic even though the struts were from an EP3 something to do with weight but my question is.... if i bought new struts and shocks like tokico or AGX's which ever one I would have to buy them for an 04 EP3 right??? Well do you guys think that i could just buy them for the 01 and just drill out the bottom of the struts and shocks?? Or should i just stick to buying Ep3 shocks and struts and buy springs for an 01 civic ex. Thanks guys sorry for the long post, im a nissan guy myself but i need to get my wifes civic looking and driving good again ( Long Story)

its better not to drill them out, i drilled out my tokicos but i wouldnt suggest doing it to those, especially if you dont have too

the tokico Blue Hp's are for the 04 civic right?? Only reason why i drilled out the ones on the 01 civic is because i wanted to get rid of the car in the first place but my wife didnt think it was a good idea at the time and i wanted to spend as little money as i had to so thats why i picked up my brothers stockers off his 04 Civic SI. But being that theres a big weight difference between the 01 and the 04 some one said to just buy springs for the 01. But the way things are looking right now we might just be keeping it and if i do decide to lower it with lowering springs i know im gonna have to get new struts and shock eventually but i dont know whether to get them for an 01 and drill em out bigger or just get 04 shock and struts and buy springs for an 01. thanks for the replies guys.

aiight what i think the man is saying guys is that he already put the struts and shocks from the 04 ep3 on to the 01 em2 (meaning he drilled the holes out to 16mm) and is wondering which ones he would have to buy if he decided in the future to go with lowering springs and upgraded shocks and struts.... am i right? if i am what i think the guys are saying is that you can just buy the shocks and struts for the 04-05 em2 since they are already drilled out to 16mm. and as for springs, i think it'll be the same all the way around for the em2 no matter what year you have. i'm not sure that i'm right, but i'm just thinking that this was the case and the answers the other guys are trying to give you. what do i know... i went with tein ss-p coilovers!!!!!!

anytime man... but i'm not sure where you can get them at for a good price. i would say think of the ones you want and go to google and look around. thats what i usually do and i pretty much find what i'm looking for at a good price. i also compare shipping also.
