A/C off on defrost/defog...

A/C off on defrost/defog...
So I did the DIY to "shut the a/c off" BUT it doesn't actually shut it off. Now it's just that the light turns off on the dash but I can hear the A/C kick in, fan turn on, and the cold air coming out of the vents.... Is it just my car or what...anybody know?? Or (I am fully aware of my ignorance) is the A/C actually shut off...just seems like it's not?

I know what your talking about... turns out thats normal. The only thing you did was trick the AC light into not coming on when you do the defroster (which removes humidity from the air).

Rep Power: 308 As long as you leave the selector on Floor/Def or Def and have released the light it will continue to stay that way. If you switch back to Floor or lower and then return to Floor/Def or Def the light will come back on and need to be released again.
