Emanage clarification

Hey guys, I am a noob when it comes to your forum but when it comes to my car forum along with an automotive background I am not. So hopefully I don't get flamed on here.

In any case, I was searching your guys forum on the emanage and forced induction and after all the reading I am really confused. For some people it works perfectly and some people it doesn't and then the main thread I was reading goes dead.

I am currently working on my brothers civic and I can't get the emanage to work properly with his car. I boosted it and I am getting really frustrated because sometimes I throw the cel or sometimes I get a red light on the emanage and nothing works pefectly with his 2001 Civic EX. I know that I installed it properly because it is a simple plug and play harness from boomslang. So I guess my question is what settings do I need to run in order for me to get the emange to work with his D17 properly and consistantly.

Thanks ahead of time for all your help.

There's an e-manage FAQ in Tech that may help out. It's in the turbo FAQ as well...

What are the main problems are you having? I was told you can tune WOT fuel well with emanage but partial throttle is nearly impossible. Is this the case? Also PM dezod because he used emanage on his earlier turbo kits with success. Good luck and hope you work out the kinks with the turbo.

first off find out what code its throwing(both the e-manage and the cars cel), second how are you tunning it, as in are you watching short term/long term fuel trim as you tune? as stated above partial throttle is a challenge to tune with our cars or any OBD2 car but it can be done... also what code is it flashing in red ......

also, I know people on the boards are using two different types of rotories along with a combination of different jumper settings. Can someone who has tuned successfully without problems or codes for a long duration of time give me their rotoary/jumper settings for an EX civic.

Thanks for all of your guys' input. I will try the settings on dezod's page and get to work. Hopefully my problems are solved. Does anyone by any chance have a base map for a turbo charged EX they want to send me.

If so my e-mail is grubiaco@gmail.com

I'll keep you posted on everything.
