DEI Hornet Install Help

So I tried installing this system today and it wen pretty bad. My gauges don't work at all now. I tried cutting the oem security system harness and splicing the corresponding wires. I had it working somewhat and now am scared to go any further.

I have looked everywhere for some definitive info and can't find anything. I'm going to check the 7thgen manual. Any ideas?

The key to a good alarm is the install, looks like you are screwed on that one. Installing an alarm is generally not a DIY unless you have experienced guidance. You are lucky that you didn't trigger an airbag like some dude did at my old audio shop in high school.

As for help, your best bet is to PM christmaspie

Here's the wiring diagram for the security connecter. I also sent you a PM with a wire by wire break down of each wire's function. Get those pics to me and check that fuse in your underdash fuse box. Fuse #10, 7.5A
Reference the attached documents.

That was it. Both diagrams saved me! Thanks chrismaspie. Must have blown the fuse when I was making the wrong connection to my security harness. All is well now and the security is working well.

125 bucks for power door locks and security is awesome too

If anyone is interested in a DIY for this let me know, I can write one up. Aftermarket alarm is much cheaper than honda OEM one, but install isn't plugnplay like OEM

Re: DEI Hornet Install Help

A DIY on a alarm would be great. I have not done an alarm in like 6 years. I am a little rusty. I could use tips and some help.

Thanks Man
