Aftermarket Alarm Wiring... Help?!?!
I'm an electrician yea, but it doesn't do any good when I have no clue what is what inside the dash. If you installed your own aftermarket alarm. I need to know if we have a negative door lock system. And also there used to be a site where you could get wiring diagrams for any car. is that still around? Where? I also have a keyless entry for my girls car that I need to do. She has a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage, thats what I need that site for. If anyone knows of it please help out.
are you talking about 2001 civic than i can help you, i just got done hooking alarms and remote starter for my manual ex. the negativ door lock on our car is kind of confusing . first go to radio sack and get the diode the number is 1n4001 of some thing like that got 1 amp just look for it it is 1.99 , i for got the part number, then go to your car and the diver kick panel the is an alram factory plug the plug is green , take green wired and light green with red and hook it up to the diode, you need to get this right the gray band on the diode need to face the oem wire use one didiode for each door and dont let the oem wire touch each other at the other end or the doide twist both end to gether and hook the alarm wired in to it .
