got subs but dont know the max

yea i got 2 12" inch subs with a box that fix perfectly in the trunk. my question is how do i find out what the max wattage the 2 subs can handle. i got these subs from my cuzin and he dont know what it is. there is no logo shown so how can i figure this out.

Well, really there is no such thing as max power. If you look at a lot of higher end subs, they don't even give a max power handling. It's always RMS.
Max power really varies on the type of enclosure, the environment conditions, etc.

My advice is just to listen to it. You can distinguish certain audible factors when a sub is getting too much power.

ok heres the pic but i really doubt it will help.

ive heard of people blowing their subs how do i not do that. how would i know what amp to buy?

Honestly, those appear to be some generic woofers. Just get a generic amp to go with it.

looks like walmart stuff. remove the sub from the box and read the label on the magnet of the subwoofer. their SHOULD be a print of the sub specs, if not...then idk what to say.

alright ill try that i was thinking they were somewhere on the sub.

yea really dont care on what kind of subs they were cuz i got them for freezees.i just want them to work.

Match the sensitivity level on the amp with your preout voltage.

Amp is your choice. Your subs, no offense, look pretty cheap. Sometimes looks can be deceiving though. Anyways, mono-blocks are always the best way to go. Look into those.

you can actually blow a sub from under powering your system...... I blew 3 comp subs........ with my Alpine amp until i got my 2 12" alpine Type s' Its worth the money 2 do it right the first time
