comments on this HU

I just ordered a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP CD/MP3/WMA Player. From what I've read they are good. I had Pioneer decks long ago and they were good. Anyone have comments on this HU? Going to change out front speakers with Boston Acoustics SX60 or S65RCS. Should help alot.

eh, sound quality is just okay when compared to alpine and others above it, but the decks are rock solid, never messes up or breaks, and plays just about anything you give it.

I bought a DEH-8600MP and it is among the best stereos I've ever used.

I replaced my front speakers with JL VR600-CSis and I was shocked to find out the previous owner had a 6.5 inch Boston Pro series component set installed. They didnt sound good because they were getting their power from the head unit, and they forgot to crimp one of the connections going from the stock wiring to the crossover (*napoleon dynamite*"Frickin IDIOT! Gosh")

I may sell them if your interested. Their alittle beat up but they work well when amped.

Hey I might be interested in those. What model of Bostons' where they? Did they fit like stock or have to be rigged in there? I know not all B.A. 6.5 inchers will work. thanks. I plan to put an amp in at some point.

Model number on the woofer is Boston 6.5LF. Crossovers say ProSeries 6.5x on them. Tweeters are unmarked.

They actually fit pretty well. However they had two spacer brackets for each woofer, and I had to reuse one of them for each door so I could only provide you with 2 spacers if I were to sell them, instead of the 4 that I think you would need.
