I just got my indiglo R shift ****

I bought this shift **** off ebay, it came in a few days ago. Ebay link it's border-line rice but i thought it wasnt all that gaudy/showy. it wasnt built very percisely, and came with some shipping damage (minor scratches) so the guy refunded $10. It doesnt have instructions that tell me how to install it. they reccomend i have a professional install it I wanna do it myself though, it cant be too tough right? there are two wires that lead from the **** that i want to connect to my parking light circuit through the inside of my shift boot- so no wires can be seen. where's the best place i can get into that circuit? should i go directly to the fuse box? i once saw something at Ames that let you add a circuit, it plugged into one of the fuse slots- looked like a piggy back fuse of some sort. or can i just splice a wire that powers one of my dash lights (like the temp **** lights, or the hazard light) those are all 12 volt lines right?

thanks!
