Thank you. I hope I can find that rubber tubing stuff. I never find the stuff that people recommend on these forums.
I've looked at both Home Depot and Lowes for that pipe insulation stuff that people use for their rear deck rattle. CAN'T FIND IT WTF

Mine only seems to rattle when I tilt it open, then close it, but leave the inner shade open. If I close the shade, there is no rattle. And it sounds more like a creaking than a rattle. Gonna have to try Intruder's solution...
INTRUDER: did yours rattle all the time, or only when it was open or closed or tilted?
FURY: as for the foam pipe insulation tubing, Home Depot has got to have some. I just went today and picked up some more. They're around 25 cents each and come in different diameters. Dark grey in color. Ask someone there and for sure they will know what you're looking for.

Ok, I figured out where my squeaking was coming from... Avenger is right. When the moonroof is closed, the rear portion of it can still move very slightly when you push on it lightly. The squeaking sound comes from the moonroof rubbing against the edge of the roof when you go over bumps and rough roads. (So it's not the same area as what you showed in your pic Intruder.)
Honda actually has a service bulletin on this for the 6th gen, but I'm sure it's the same for the 7th gen. All they do is put squeak reduction tape around the edge of the moonroof opening. I am pretty sure that for most of you, this is the problem.
I have a copy of that bulletin in PDF, which I'll post tomorrow.
EDIT: ok, here's that PDF ...... if you can't view it directly, right-click and 'save as' to download :

I have a rattle coming from the moon roof when it is open and the shade is slid back. I also hear it when I tilt the glass up as it locks into the upright position. I don't ever use my sunroof because I always hear this noise when I do and it has become rather annoying.
Anyone have the same problem? Any fixes? I'm about ready to take my headliner off and search for the problem if I can't find out what the heck the noise is coming from.
Thanks,
TJ

Sounds like your moonroof may be loose. I guess this is not the problem covered by that bulletin I posted above.
You may want to try and get your dealer to fix that, before you start ripping out the headliner yourself.

My car has 1300 klicks on it and something has been rattling since day one. Its a 2005 Civic witht he moonroof, think it's an LX-G. Anyway beautiful car but the rattle above and to my right drives me nuts. It happens when I hit bumps and some types of road grades. Makes sort of a buzz or vibration noise. Hard to pinpoint and a bit intermittent. Other than that the car rocks. Also it happens when the moonroof is open, cracked, venting, closed or the shade is 1/2, full open or full close. Anyway new car 2nd lease. If they want to keep me as a customer they can fix it

Can anyone post some pics of what they did to remedy the moonroof rattle? I have a 2004 Civic Coupe...the rattle is getting very annoying. If I lightly push up against the moonroof, it makes a squeaky sound...so everytime I go over bumpy roads, it rattles alot. If I take it to my dealer, will they fix it for free...I am under warranty still.

I've noticed that it also comes the metal bar thing that pops up when you open the glass all the way. that part seem to vibrate against the moon roof when it closed shut, BTW have you noticed that little piece of felt on the center of the underside of the glass? I think if you add a couple more pieces on top of it should cure most rattling problems.
