Replacing broken mirror...

Hi,
I need help replacing a broken driver's side mirror. The casing and the electric motor are fine, the only problem is the shattered mirror. Now does this require to remove the entire mirror or can it be done from the outside?

Any help would be appreciated.

it can be done with the assembly on the car. Just tilt the mirror to the full inward position and put a long flat tipped screwdriver in between the mirror holder and the actuator and quickly twist the screwdriver to seperate the mirror. It is only help onto the actuator by clips and adhesive. A new mirror is found here

Thanks StreetGlower! You are the man!

It was really simple after all. Just like you said, I just placed a screwdriver in between the mirror and the actuator and just pulled a bit. After that I just removed the left over sticky film and placed the new mirror.
