Smoke Over Exhaust Mani

Ok so I finished the turbo in my 95 DX, d15, and i powered her up for the first time, i fixed all the oil leaks and everything is going well. I look around the engine bay and a little smoke is coming off of the exhaust manifold. I checked for any melting and there is none. any ideas? thanks

is it a new manifold or have exhaust wrap on it? do you have an exhaust leak between the mani/turbo or mani/cylinder head?

more than likely its just oil from your hands and things like that.. it should stop after a lil while of being ran, its nothing serious unless it smokes everyday all day.

it is a new mani and if could just be oil or grease that was off my hands, more than likely, no exhaust wraps present.
i needed to put more atv on the oil feed line today so tomorrow ill start it again and see if it smokes

yeah, if it is a new mani, you are probally just burning off the stuff on the manifold used to prep it for wleding and any gease/other chemicals on it. if it doesnt go away after a week, i would start worrying

Was it a thick fluid like oil? Thin like water? I know the a/c evap line in my '03 drains out near the cat, but i dont know if its in the same spot on a 95.

well if this helps it was the first start up without my A/C because I had to take it out to fit the turbo, and it's viscosity was in the middle, not too thick, not too thin
