04 Sedan Head Unit install -- Trying to keep the Stock CD Pocket
Is it possible?
I can't find a dash kit for an aftermarket head that only occupies the upper slot. I was wondering if such a thing existed. I like the nifty door!

I used it with an Eclipse 8454 and had to modify it it a little bit to get enough depth for the face to open, but I imagine that would be true no matter what. The trim piece fit perfectly.

Rep Power: 302 I used it on my 02 as well. My radio is an odd size, though. So I had to do a little filing to get a real nice fit, but I kept the door pocket.

All Civic coupe and sedan radios have the same size and dimensions. Anything designed for the 01 year model will fit 02, 03, 04 and 05 non-Si models. 
Oh, so that's why when you install shocks you have to do ... something... with some bolts or whatnot?

Rep Power: 332 I used the same holes that the stock HU mounted to. All 4 screws lined up perfectly. I kept my EX pocket and just used a "faceplate" from one of the kits to cover the gap. It worked perfectly, and the radio is a little recessed (1/8") so I have less worries about another dash kit being ripped out
