Rep Power: 0 04 Sedan Head Unit install -- Trying to keep the Stock CD Pocket
Is it possible?
I can't find a dash kit for an aftermarket head that only occupies the upper slot. I was wondering if such a thing existed. I like the nifty door!
Thanks!

Used it in my 2005 EX Sedan, so I'm guessing yes
I used it with an Eclipse 8454 and had to modify it it a little bit to get enough depth for the face to open, but I imagine that would be true no matter what. The trim piece fit perfectly.

Rep Power: 278 I used it on my 02 as well. My radio is an odd size, though. So I had to do a little filing to get a real nice fit, but I kept the door pocket.

Rep Power: 310 All Civic coupe and sedan radios have the same size and dimensions. Anything designed for the 01 year model will fit 02, 03, 04 and 05 non-Si models.
Oh, so that's why when you install shocks you have to do ... something... with some bolts or whatnot?

Rep Power: 307 I used the same holes that the stock HU mounted to. All 4 screws lined up perfectly. I kept my EX pocket and just used a "faceplate" from one of the kits to cover the gap. It worked perfectly, and the radio is a little recessed (1/8") so I have less worries about another dash kit being ripped out

Metra Kit with Eclipse 8454 - actually is a better match than it looks, the Metra piece is a flatter finish than the stock plastic so it blends in.
