A3 Swappers step in
I currently have the K20A3 motor from a base RSX. I've looked at pictures from the A2 swaps and the intake manifold comes awefully close to the top cross section where the hood latch is located. People that have completed this swap did u cut away some of the cross member? or did it fit with no problems.

If you start getting into larger numbers (300+) your going to need to be warey. The A3 is notorious for crank walk, which will end your fun day real quick

yes it does fit perfectly. And the greddy turbo kit for the types will fit also fit the A3. Go look at my gallery and you will see some of my pics of the A3 motor in my car and you can see where i tirmed the core support so the manifold would clear. But after it was done i dont think it need to be cut. good luck with your swap.

atl01 I'm looking at the pics where you trimmed and I think you need to because when you stomp on the gas I think the engine will move enough that the manifold will hit. Also you relocated your battery, any way of avoiding that?
Smuggler I'm only going with a dry 50 shot I think I dont think it will put that much stress on the motor. I know a few people pumping 80 wet shots steady.
