Tranny or Turbo Swap? Help
Tranny or Turbo Swap? Help
I Have a 2004 Civic Vp Automatic d17a1...
I want to go fast..
everyone says i should get a 5spd Instead of my Automatic..yay great i know that
But i wanna go faster cause i have a non-vtec civic great
I want the Turbo but i don't know how much it would cost to get a turbo install done and pretty much all the parts and stuff that i would need for my Cool DX,LX,VP motor
But then I really do want a Tranny Swap but don't know usually what it cost to get a tranny for a Civic like mine?
I need some help

i stopped reading after "I Have a 2004 Civic Vp Automatic d17a1.. I want to go fast.."
jks.. i think you should research some more and make sure you know what u want first.
Theres no problem with automatic turbos, if you really wanted to go for a manual car, trade yours in for an EX witha manual car. then think about what you want to do. Thats just IMO though.

I have an entire 5spd swap kit that will work just fine (all that you would need are a couple of misc parts). I can also help walk you through the process. I also have a ex head that will give you Vtec. I can't walk you through this because I started with Vtec and upgraded to i-Vtec LOL. Honestly a 5spd civic will be almost as fast as a boosted auto at 8psi and will be ALOT more fun.
here is the thread to the swap

on top of what I have you need axles ($100 with your axles as cores from autozone) brake pedel and clutch pedel ($25 from junkyard). Master cylinder and bottle ($80 dealership). Clutch lines (make your own $20). The remainder of the stuff I am asking $700 for, but it is a tranny with 30K and a performance clutch and prolight flywheel.

this is two seperate ideas in one thread. turboing a car and swaping a tranny are two different things. people in here have posted over and over the things u need for both. more threads about it wanting us to post again just aint the right idea
