I keep blowing alternator sp fuses
I keep blowing alternator sp fuses
Hello everyone, I am a newbie to this site.
I have a 96 civic dx hatchback. It has always ran great until recently. I replaced the alternator, belts, and battery only to find that a fuse under the dash was blown. after replacing this fuse and a couple of hundred$ worth of other parts, it seemed to run good and charge properly, etc. this was about a month ago.
A few days ago the problem came back. The engine light came on, and when the fuse blows, all lights on the car seem to "breathe" or fluctuate, if you will, including the engine light. The idle follows the same rhythm at stop lights.
Does anyone here know where to start looking to fix this? I've gone through enough fuses in the past two days, and need a real fix.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Chris
