hi gang first time on this page, hope you can help me. my car is a 03 civic lx sport 4 dr peice of sh@$. this is buy far the worst car i have ever owned. anyway. now i need to replace my instrement cluster and i will be getting one from import auto here in abby but the km are different on the cars. is the odometer rating in the actual gauge cluster or is it read from the computer? ie. if i put in this other gauge cluster will it read its cars mileage or my cars mileage? any help.

The mileage on the OD will stay with the cluster, so when you switch to another one, you will be getting the other car's mileage.

thank you. so how do i change it to my mileage. they are out by about 30k

okay either you can find a cluster with more mileage and then swap it out once your car reaches that mileage, or you can have the rom flashed. this however is very hard to do because you need a $10k equipment and nobody has it. try and look for speedo calibration shops and ask if they can help. even if you find a place, they are gonna be very nervous about doing it.
