car sitting too high =/

got 1.5" drop, less dan a finger gap in the front, and 1 finger gap in the rear. but my car is still sitting too high off the ground. i got oem lip kit, and 215/45/17. will bodykits sit lower off the ground?
of course, you're riding on 215/45/17 which puts your civic at 2" or higher from the hub to ground.
you can have 1.5" drop springs on a civic with 225/30/19 and it'll still sit higher than factory specs.
a ricekit will only make the car "look" lower since its closer to the ground. the kit/lip will fill in that empty gap to make it look like its sitting lower

like i said, what kind of wheels? and a "ricekit" is not a rice kit at atll. body kits are for show. respect them. and it IS lower to the ground, cause the kit is part of the car. yes, the appearance is there cause the kit is there for the lowered aspect too

215/45R17 size tires have a radius only .19" (1/5") higher than stock*, so the overall diameter changes by only by 2/5". The difference in size is negligible when it comes to ride height; only 1/5"
* assuming 185/70R14. If stock is 185/65R15, then the radius difference is only 0.08", which is about 1/12" !!!

ok i just saw your pics. they are at night. it looks dropped with almost no gap. day pics might be better. the tire looks thick as ****. that might be your problem. thinner tire man
imho the s-tech is the best drop for the 7th a 2" is wayy too low you'll scrap everything and say goodbye to your exhaust on the first speed bump you encounter. And btw there is a noticeable difference between 40's and 45's

Sometimes the shape of the tire makes the sidewall look bigger; some tire brands make their shoulders more square or rounded. The rideheight difference (between 40 and 45-series) might be small, but you're right, the visual difference when it comes to sidewall height will be noticeable.

Now, why would anyone give me negative rep for anything I've posted in this particular thread?
Everything I've posted is either cold, hard calculations, or fact.
