yes/ no? reguarding coil overs

got megan full coil overs..
is their anything i should do besides greasing up ends and pillow ***** b4 installation, is it safe to spray say WD-40 on the threads/ perch and/ or springs to prevent them from rusting or seizing .? lmk asap plzz! thanks

If you want to protect the threads, I don't suggest WD-40. In fact all WD-40 is good for is unsticking the odd nut or bolt, it's not a part of regular maintenance or car care IMO. Use something thick like axle grease or maybe anti-seize compound. Look up the DIY in here, I forget which of the suspension gurus wrote it (boilermaker? was it you?) but it should give you a better idea of how to protect your suspension. Myself I just used a wack of grease on the threads and will wash them off this spring. If you clean off the coilovers diligently and regularly enough youy won't have to worry about seizing.
