okay i went to that City Tech Auto Repair, but it's in Rosemead/san gabriel, off the 10 sorta near 605 too, so i dunno if you wanna make that drive but the address is 8419 Garvey Ave, rosemead, ca 91770. opened m-sun 8-6. it was 120 for the shiny new bearing and labor. and it was only a 15 minute job. idunno how much other places are, but getting a bearing from honda costs about 120+ w/o labor....so yeah. btw: this is for ONE bearing. and if you're not sure which one it is, just lift one side and push the wheel in towards the struts and out towards .....out haha if it wiggles, that's the one. know which one, or else they charge 24 for diagnotic

But after that..... i never took the normal loudness of my car ever again. HATED that thumping noise. it sounded like i was riding on a train. Ser1n, that's probably just your pads and stuff. bearing sounds like that thumping when you're stopped behind a train X-ing while the train's going by. thats while your driving, but if it sounds like that when you're braking, your rotors are warped and bent. i had both happen

okay i jacked-up the car and wiggle the side it was making noise and it doesnt wiggle. So wheel bearings is out the question. But i begin to spin the wheel and it makes a squeaking noise. My rotors need to be re-surfaced? or brakes? Cause when im on the road and it makes this noise, i break, the sound goes away.

if it sounds like trains going over a track as in thump thumpthump...yeah... could also be described like the sound of a flat tire being driven. like in the movies. but if it's more of a *erp erp erp* sound that is off and on, depending on wheter you are braking or not. then it's your rotors, they're probably warped.

anyways.... you said you hear squeaking noise when you spin the wheel. if it's a constant "squeak" with no break in the sound. then it's very likey that you just need to change your pads. well.... if it's coming front your front wheels (brakeshoes if it's in the rear) sooo.....

take the wheel off the car and turn the wheel (clockwise if it's your left side, counter clock if it's your right passenger side) so that you can see the side of the brake caliper. notice that there is a small peep hole in the ver dead middle and center of it. you should be able to see the brake disk sandwiched between the pads. if there is Less than 1/8 of an inch of pad left (i'm talking about the stuff that touches the rotors), then it's probably your pads. the noise is from this metal "rod" that is suppose to warn you when you should replace them (the squeaking)..... yup

just take it to a repair shop..dont ever go to dealers.

if youre talking about while the wheel is moving then has to do with your "brakes" in general. idont know whether you are talking about while stoped or moving haha. but if you hear a cluncking right when you start your engine it's somthing else.... specify

hmmmm i'm not too good with engine diagnostics...yet hahah i help swaped an SR20det on my friend's 240sx...like 3 times but i am clueless when trying to find an engine problem..... maybe pop the hood and have someone start the car for you and see where i might be from. then have someone drive slowly reversed and forward to see that as well.???? just ideas, but idunno how smart that is. try asking boilermaker, after that take it to a shop ASAP haha sorry bro not good with that. could be as simple yet dangerous as a nut floating around in someplace, i've seen that in a starter. but yeah kinda gettin off topic

lol damn i thought i was the only one? i'm guessing it's the bearings? when i swapped out my ground control coils for the stock springs that's when it started making that thumping/clunking sound. it happens when i turn left/right or even hit a bump. i just got an alignment but when i turn hard left or right the alignment is ruined. for ex: i'm turning a hard left the steering stays to the left, in order for me to make it straight i have to turn the wheel hard right...........

not your bearings, something is wrong with your struts/shocks. might also be something loose, check your nuts and bolts. turn your wheel left see if there is something wrong with the strut, then turn to the right and look at the strut to see if anything wrong.
