LC20 in auto tranny?

LC20 in auto tranny?
is it okay to add a little? my tranny has recently started slipping. also ever since i got the car it would take 2-3 seconds to switch from reverse to drive before the gear would engage. I found that changing the fluid fixed this lag, but it would just get worse again after 3k miles. I'm not about to change it every 3k, so would adding a bit of lc help the lag and also the slipping? can i add some to my old fluid now? its got about 6k miles on it.
