adjusting koni yellows

i have all 4 koni yellows installed on my civic. however, i am having a difficult time fitting the adjusting **** for the rear struts. the metal chassis is blocking my way to fit the **** around the pin to twist. was i suppose to leave the **** on top before bolting everything back up? looks like i have to now use plyers to adjust the rear strut dampers

It doesn't fit.
Just use pilers, set the shock and leave it alone.

get some pliers and use it to grab the metal that gets in the way. then twist it back and forth until it rips off. then u should have enough room to fit the adj. ****

so it would be ok to bend the metal sheet back?

i tried plyers, it worked but it was so much of a bitch to get leverage and whatnot. also for some reason, some white lubricant leaked out of the adjusting tip of the strut...smelled like wd-40

i ground mine out with a dremel all nice like.
I also made a custom metal adjuster so i can get to that thing with a ratchet instead of climbing into the trunk

i dunno how crazy the bending and cutting sounds, umm a dremel and 5 minites seems pretty good to me. I adjust my shocks all the time, i dont like riding hard all the time ya know, it is a daily driver

also, how can you just set them once and leave them alone?? You dont try to make your suspension better?? Your just content with one setting? what was the point of buying adjustable shocks if your never going to adjust them, seems kinda dumb

i had no problem 'setting them once and leaving them alone'. it was the best setup with the springs. you're just jealous i found my setting and your n00b a$s is stuck 'adjusting'.
