urgent ! RSX springs on 03 civic
urgent ! RSX springs on 03 civic
i've just got myself a set of RSX neuspeed race springs, and wanted to put them on my 03 civic sedan, since i've heard that they'll fit no problem
however, i've just called speedtech to ask for the price of the labour, and they told me that the rear will SAG significantly since those springs are for the RSX, which is a COUPE but not SEDAN. can anyone clarify that? since i have to call the seller and ask if i return it to him if it is the case
thx !

End of story is that you just wasted your money. Yes they will fit, but they weren't made for the civic's weight distribution. Sucks for you.

They actually probably won't fit right because the LENGTHS are different too.
Why buy parts not made for the car when parts for the car are available.

why not just get the correct springs in the first place? it saves you the time and hassle of having to send it back.
maybe its just me, but unless a certain product shares the same item number as the RSX or Si (like the neuspeed x-brace) i wont even bother. i'll just search further and get one made for the civic.
dang boilermaker, you beat me. i have to type really slow and soflty cuhz im in class right now. lol.

ya but it's winter.. im afraid no one wants to buy springs when winter's come'n
anyways, i'll have to try sell them... a good news is that the tech at speedtech said that these won't cause problems with the civic coupe though.. anyone can clarify that also?
and yes, speedtech is in toronto

Do you live near markham? If you do I can probably help you with the install if you have a heated garage or something. Save money and great way to learn the car.
Sell the springs on ebay or www.clubrsx.com. Someone will buy them

And if you haven't realized it, messing with the suspension the wrong way can be very dangerous. Driving on blown shocks, springs that don't fit, cut springs, etc. can cause you to injure yourself or someone else. Throwing a turbo kit on your car will only kill your engine, but with suspension, you run the risk of hurting others. Do it right or pay the consequences.
