Also did you check the battery fuse first? You might have blown that fuse. It is a protection device incase stuff like hooken up the cables backwards happens.
Also what happens when you try and start the car?

hooking it up backwards might have caused u more probs then u think. Our batt runs @ 12v, hooking it up backwards makes a series connection instead of parallel causing the voltage to dbl 24v + dbling amps
. Your friend is a fukn idiot
, everything in our cars runs @ 12, so make sure u check everything is still working after. As glow said, we have a battery fuse, if it exceeded the required amps, it would just blow, making u a lucky guy.

OEM unless u want to go w/ greddy or the ems, both very expensive. I believe there was a dyno on AEMs website showing that w/the EMS u gain hp/tq just from their base maps.

I agree with streetglower on this. Check the fuse/fuseable link If you do get a different ecu you will have to have it towed to honda to get the immobilzer reflahed

24 volts, doubling the amps? Err, I don't think so. Some people need to understand electricity and ohm's law.
Jumping a car backwards creats a dead short at the battery. The stronger battery will overcome the weaker one, and thus reverse the polarity on the vehicle with the weaker battery.
Fried ECU, I would install a new battery correctly, then check all the fuses. They are there for a reason and should have blown before serious damage happenned. Plus most components have protection built in to prevent his from happening. If you are lucky, all you lost is a battery (already toasted due to being deep cycled anyway) and fuse or two.
If the ECU is really toast, then you are in deep. You have to get a new HONDA ECU and have it reprogrammed by Honda due to the immobilizer. The only stand alone, meaning able to replace the whole thing is the AEM, and if you can get it, things on the car will not work, i.e. the air conditioning, the gauges, etc.
Remember that we have two fuse boxes, one in the car, and one under the hood.
