painting your fog lights

Wassup peepes jus was wondering what type of paint did you use to paint your OEM fog lights and how long did it last untill you had to paint it again or so, Also did you guys sand down the glass part so the paint will stick hit me up thanks..........

no sanding, krylon stained glass paint, lasts a long time if you clear coat it....

just use lamin-x film. are u gonna paint them yellow?

MODS move to lighting maybe?

i would lamin-x it. Its basically film protection so ur lenese dont get cracked from rock debri. They have either yellow, clear, or blue film. And yes they are for automotive use.

there is no real reason to move this thread. it could fall into both catagories.

the best thing would be to use lamin-x and pick the color you want.
if you dont like it you can allways take it off, unlike painting them you would have to buy a set of new fog lights if you didnt like the end result,

Get Lamin-X. This is a great company that makes diferent thickness laminated films to protect headlight, fogs and even the whole car; their products are used even on the Lemans Motorsport. I've had it on my 04 fogs for 3-4 months and the fogs look brand new, no scratches whatsoever, plust if you ever decide to change the color, all you have to do is peal it off. They also got smoked color films.

u can use lamin-X, but you won't get the lexus yellow look when the lights are on. You could paint them and put the yellow lamin-x for protection......thats what im doin...

www.lamin-x.com thats the website they are quick about it and they have different sizes availible in different colors...when i get my fogs im gonna use the yellow lamin-x with some nokya bulbs
