HELP my dash lights wont work

HELP my dash lights wont work
i was moving my HU to the lower part of the dash hole (where the pocket normally is) and when i did the orange-white wire( illumantion) came un-done and i rewired it to.
some how when i repowered the car to test my HU i saw smoke and smelled burning plastic starting to come from in the dash... when i saw this i quickly turned off everthing.. but i was unable to find what was burning... so i moved on a found the problem which was me wireing the orange-white wire to the orange-white and orange wires (yes one to two..idk what i was thinking)... then when i went to turn on the dash and hvac controls lights dont work....
HELP!!!!!
