Coolong Fans

I have 93 Civic Ex when I purchased the car it just had a new head and gasket installed. This morning on the way to work my wife said the temp went up and she cut the a/c on and the temp went back to normal. I check the fans and when you cut the air on the fan on the condenser come on right a way but I have to idle the car up to get the one over the radiator to come on and when it does it only runs for about 10 seconds after I let of the throttle. It does the same thing when the air is not on I can idle the car up and it will run as long as its idled up but as soon as I let off it stop working. I would appreciate any help I could get with this matter

Thanks

might be a bad relay, could be alot of diffrent things when t comes to cooling, if you contuinue having this problem i'd say just wire up the fan so it is always on when the car is on.
