hood latch + rad support

long story short, my hood is all messed up and it won't close properly. i'm taking it to honda on monday, but i think my rad support is all bent too.

anyone know how much this will run to replace?

i was quoted 121 for the lock itself. the radiator support was quoted to me at ~220 so labors gonna screw me over.

the bracket where the hood thing is attached to is all ****ed up....omg sux0rz

the upper tie bar (radiator core support) is about 170 bucks...the latch should be about 70-100 depending on where u go...i would go with the cheapest shop to get those...labor is gonna screw u over tho...my bro and his vic had the same thing happen when we rear ended a toyota tacoma pre-runner...replacing a core support is gonna be expensive cuz they have to drill off all of the spot welds and such lots of labor when i fixed my friends car

I don't think you need to get a new latch. Some jackass ran into me and screwed up my hood and radiator support... latch was fine, but i have to replace my radiator support. I'm going to drill all the spot welds myself, that's going to be a pain. Screw paying labor charges.

How did it happen? was it an accident or did someone use a jack where they where not supposed to. I might be able to help if it is the jack situation.

What did they have to do to fix it? I'm having the same type of problem right now.

they replaced the radiator support because it was bent. they put the hood latch back where it lined up with the hood. i had bent a support beam and they straightened it out.

the service guy said i could just have the hood latch welded back where it should be, but i don't know anyone that welds, so i just let them do it. the service couldn't do it though, i had to bring it to the body shop.

Thanks! I'll skip going to Honda service and go straight to a body shop.
