Is bad to drive Civic in the winter?
Give a turbo warm up from cold for few minutes and drive calmly until egnine fully warms up. That way you will be safe.
Turbo cars are actualy faster in the winter then in the summer!
Enjoy!

My car is daily driven......all winter long.
Just give the car enough time to warm up. When you start driving, try to stay out of boost until the car reaches normal operating temp.

I live in the Bronx. I drive my 02 Civic Coupe EX all year round as well. Last Blizzard we had i was loving my snow tires. As we speak im gettin aTSI turbo installed at RPM NYC. After hearing the dense air thing im dyin for the winter to come back if thats the case. I figures that in cold weather it woudl work better cause its colder and engine keeps a nice temp. Anyway...holla at ya kin folk redrik. Ill let ya know how the Turbo is as far as the summer. I hope dont have to drive around with a bottle of water...lol

Your car will love the winter. Our days are only like 60-80, not too cold, but very nice for my car. Your car will drive nicely, traction is the only prob living in a snow state, but Im sure you would have snow tires. They would be needed for the winter, probably. Today its about 105-110 (cooled down a lot recently) and my car hates it. Summer time sucks if you live in a HOT *** state. Im from AZ. Im considering taking my hood off for the rest of the summer.

The air is more dense when its cold out, lol. Just thought Id clear that up for ya, hehe. In the summertime, the air is much less dense (less air), so our cars will run rich, unless you get it retuned. Much denser/colder air in the winter.

I'm not the weather man, so I dont know,
But yeah it should be like +20hp's for free when its cold!
I have a bottle of water and a juice usually. Plus I have a frozen shirt. I get a shirt completely soaked with water, than freeze it. It takes about 5 or 10 minutes for it to be thawed enough to break some of the ice and put it on. Its not even as cold as it seems it would be wearing complete ice. Way too damn hot out. My shirt is melted in 4 or 5 minutes after wearing it.

Not to mention, fuel doesn't atomize as good in the cold either.
Boost spikes are more probable too.

.....Meaning that car needs very good warm up before pushing hard. I think using winter gas (as we have it in Canada) ot gas addictive should help combust fuel effectively...
Saying this, some precausions to be taken befor pushing hard in the realy cold or realy hot weather.
In mild temprature conditions during winter or summer I would not worry very much, usual turbo components maintanance will work just fine.
Cheers to you turbo 7th gens!
