I NEED MORE FUEL!!!

Dude, check it out guys, the only performance mods that I have at this point are intake and exhaust. I just put on my injen SRI this weekend, and I noticed that when I hit the really high RPMS the fuel seems to start cutting out. Well, more like the fuel pressure is becoming....spasmatic a little . Anyways...what should I get? I was thinkin fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel pump. But then wouldn't I have to upgrade my ignition and have my chip reworked?

Hum... You think the fuel pump is being asked to deliver more fuel than it can handle? Maybe. Try to see how much the fuel pump from the RSX costs. That might solve your problems. It has a higher flow rate and is good for the future if you're planning on getting a turbo.

Hey Grey, can he fix that with a S-AFC and increase the fuel? I think that, pretty much does the same job!
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the point he's making is that the stock fuel pump is incapable of delivering more fuel. The ECU senses the increased amount of oxygen being ingested into the engine and wants to compensate with more fuel to balance out the fuel maps. However, at high rpm's the amount of fuel that needs to be delivered exceeds what the stock fuel system is capable of.

The S-AFC can increase the amount of fuel flow, but at high rpm's is where the problem lies. Who knows what that problem is though? Maybe the fuel pump? Maybe the injectors? Maybe the fuel rail? Maybe the ECU itself?

if he changes the fuel pump hes going to have to change the injectors too cause then the pumpthe regulator and the rail wont work to their full potential then it would be no use

To tell you the truth, I don't think just by adding an intake you'll need a bigger pump!
You need a bigger fuel system when you have mods like heads, cam, things like that. Our stock fuel system should be good enough!
But hey thats an opinion!

More air, more fuel... what's missing? More spark.! Might need to upgrade your ignition system to take advantage of the intake and fuel system upgrades. Ahh... the neverending cycle of mods.

Really, you shouldn't have to do anything else to your car to enjoy your mods. Are you sure you're not just hitting the rev limiter?

It's definetly not the rev limiter, you can actually here the turbulency of the air and fuel from the motor. Most cars have that cool deep intake sound, my intake sounds like an overbored go-cart, so I can pretty much here everything that goes on.

Is there any way you can play with the filter location? It might be the heat!
