Broken bolt and LX > EX exhaust questions
Two questions in one post basically -
1) How would one removed a bolt that cracked/broke off in the hole? Its the bolt just by the trunk holding the rear bumper. Sadly, its basically cleaned right off and can't seem to get any grip onto what remains. I could try to get a picture of the damaged head part I have, but have no immediate access to a camera
Yeah, I probably should have stopped turning, but I was slightly distracted on the phone
and the bolt was slightly worn anyways so it wanted to turn.
2) Since my header is cracked, I've decided to change it. As well, since the exhaust is kinked and old, decided to pay the bucks and get another one as well. So basically, got EX parts (header and exhaust) to fit onto my 01 LX sedan.
Reading from the other posts, I should get myself a donut gasket -
What I'm wondering at is which part number the donut gasket would be exactly? I'm leaning towards #14 on Majestic Honda's Exhaust Pipe page but
am I correct or not? Though at the same time, which part number for item #14 anyways.. Seriously wondering if I should get the stuff installed at a muffler shop rather than the performance shop (which wouldn't have the gaskets on hand), but there in lies a problem if a problem pops up.
Any
would be appreciated.. sorry its a long read, but I tried being as thorough as I could.

Hang the cat and pipe on the hanger and start the bolts. You will need to take the donut gasket off you EX header using a flathead screw driver and place it in between this section. (If you have a LX you will have to go to a muffler shop to get a donut gasket that will fit) Do not tighten till you have the rest of the system hung.

you have to drill the inside of the bolt outwards. or you could drill cross hairs into the bolt and take a screw driver and try that one. is the broken part sticking out any? you could get pliers and twist it out also. yeah ex exhaust header and ehxaust should fit the lx. but the ex has a diff cat converter. so it would be iffy. should be ok though, good luck.
