EM2 Back end feels loose...any ideas what is happening?

I've got Tein Flex coilovers on the softest settings, front and rear camber kits.
215/45/17 toyo prox 4s, and have it at about a finger gap in front and maybe a bit more in the back.
I also have a progress rear sway bar and neuspeed front stut bar.

the back end feels really loose when driving. the car hasn't slipped at all yet around curves or anything but i'm worried. This started happening after i switched to a wider tire and had express tire (goodyear store) set my alignment. Normally, i take my car to a place where they do the alignment the old school style, without the computer, but this time i had express do it.

They set the alignment back to factory settings which i thought isn't right. the guy does lowered cars there all the time and even told me that the other alignment place settings were way off!

i don't have a heavy sound system either so that can't be it. It feels as if the front tires are pulling the car, which they are because of the FWD, but it seems wierd. My buddy said it looked as if the back was really following the front more than normal as he followed me from a different car.

Is it simply the alignment, tires, or is the ride height that is affecting the handling?
thanks for the help-

check you rear end links on your sway bar to see if they are busted.

It's called oversteer. That is what happens when you have stiff *** coils and a large rear sway bar. Live with it and learn to drive your car or you will end up hurting yourself or others.

excatly...you could make the rear softer and the front firmmer. That might help to give the back end more traction.

its possible that the place that last set the alignment set it OFF, as in one of the heads slipped, machine is out of calibration, rear slip plate on the rack is sticking. And when thye went to set the rear toe, it gave a false reading and your rear toe is now WAY off explaining why they possible said that the last alignment was WAY off maybe?

I know what oversteer is, thanks.

Why did this problem only surface after different sized tires were put on? I've had the sway bar for months now and there wasn't any problem before the increase in the width of the tires.

I wasn't trying to be a smart ***. It is because each tire responds differently to the road. The size, treadware, and inflation all matter. Like in Autox, you race with the front pressures at least 3-10lbs higher than the rear to induce oversteer. Same thing with size. Zzyzx would know more though.

Different size tires shouldn't make the car feel loose, unless you've decreased the tread width or gone to a harder compound. so, 1st thing to do is get the alignment re-checked. and Just so you understand, there is the possiblity that the the current alignment is correct and that the others were wrong. who knows, Just get it checked. (And check your tire PSI too!)

On second thought, from re-reading your post, it sounds like the car is handling better now any way... so whats the problem?

Oh ya, Do you have the alignment print out? if so what are the specs?

I will get the specs for the alignment.

And, inducing a slight bit of oversteer on turns is beneficial; but, at about 100mph or so on a straight away, should the back end feel slightly loose?? i don't know.

Whens the last time you took a look at the conditoin of your suspension bushings? the OEM ones get beaten up pretty quickly after the cars been lowered. (might contribute a little to a "loose" feeling)
