intake heat shield--need ideas
okay I'm gonna try and make a custom heat shield to block the engine side of the filter. Unfortunately, there's barely any room to work with. I've tried to put an ebay round one, but it touches the coolant line and heats up very bad, prolly making the air even hotter. Anyone have an idea?

can you work with the dynamat heat shield stuff for the hood of folks scrapers

Cold air extention! :-D with an AIR BYPASS VAVLE> or change your hood to an evo hood, build a little box for your intake, and have it suck air from the hood, not the engine bay.

guys I found a fence post connector at home depot! I'm excited! It fits around the top and side perfectly. I just gotta find a way to make it stay (or just let it sit on its own?) and put thermotec header wrap on the bottom, and paint the top flat black instead of sheet metal color. Woo! I'll post pics cause sometimes I enter shows and I don't want anything that looks ghetto. I'll get your approval first

Altho I love the evo hood idea, I don't have the money.

omg paint can started leaking bad. i got paint spots all over outside my apartment. i'll post pics tomorrow hopefully.
