tokico blues and GC coilovers
tokico blues and GC coilovers
hello...well this might be a common question asked, but this is my first post so im going to ask it anyway....
hows the ride if you have tokico blues and ground control coils? well right now im dropped on GC coils and stock shocks. my right rear is blown so i want to replace all my shocks. i know that these tokicos just came out but there might be some people who have bought them already...my 2001 civic is sitting on 18"s and there is a one finger gap between the tires and rear/front fender. i dont know exact drop, but is that too low for these tokicos?(probably yes) how long will they last b4 blowing?(anyone blow the blues yet) how stiffer is it than stock? will this reduce the bouncing after driving over bumpy roads when dropped on GC's and stock shocks?
i was one of the few who bought the koni yellows when they just came out. since i only installed the rears(too much work for fronts), i can say they were really good(stopped the bouncing, was stiff). but after like 6 mo., the ring that holds the plate to hold the coilover sleeve snapped. after that, i just got the replacement ring from koni and sold the shocks as-is. lost some money...
now i want to save money and just go with the tokico blues...can anyone with GC's and tokico blues give me feedback....thanks in advance for reading and posting on this thread....

I have blues with GC's. The ride is better then stock shocks. It definitely stopped the continuous bouncing I got from my blown stocks. I think you will be happy. Because before with stock shocks, I went over a speed bump slowly and would feel my back bounce up and down. Now it's just one bounce. Hope this helps. Also, I've been riding on these for about 6 months.
Setup:
18 RH Evo C3 215/40 Toyo Proxes4
Ground Control Sleeved Coilovers
Tokico Blue
Soon to be added ingall camber kit

I just laughed out loud, really.
the laughing was followed by an oooooowwww ****!
This is too good.
Why would you Bump this? There are plenty of other threads about the same thing, if you are wanting more info then just search. I really do not understand some people. Those that I do not understand, well at least they entertain me.

blues are ment for a oem replacement...they are not that much better than the oem...just a tad bit...
however, if u go lower than 1.5" they will blow soon ehough.
