I have searched and found some nice info. However, nothing that hits the nail on the head. My question. I plan to purchase Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC type 2's designed for the EP3. But I have an 01 Civic coupe. From the search I compiled, it is obvious that both suspensions are 'identical'. However, there were some pieces of the suspension that were not interchangable. Could someone please clarify that the suspensions are 'identical' and I can go ahead and make this purchase? Also, I would like to know what parts are necessary for the suspension to be installed without fitament issues (i.e. pillowmounts? 14mm or 16mm bolts? etc).

The are not identical. The chassis is the same and therefore most parts will fit with or without modifcation. You cannot use progressive springs from the EP3. They are designed to work with the EP3 weight distribution not the EM/ES distribution. You will have an uneven, probably lopsided drop.

You can get full coilovers for an EP3 that will fit your civic. You might run into the 14/16mm bolt thing. EP3s were 14mm bolt for their ffirst 2 years I think.
