Ugly Dealer Stickers (Post pics)
Does anyone else really hate the ugly dealer advertising stickers/badges that are on many new cars? These things really **** me off. Luckily the dealership I bought my car from didn't partake in this horrible practice. If I ever buy a car from a place that has these I am going to insist that they take it off before delivery. Unless they are going to pay me to advertise for them, I don't want any part of it. Some dealers are starting to go with the license plate frames which are easily removable. I'm ok with these, but taking the badges off usually means you have to clean up your paint underneath. This $hit needs to stop. Post your pics if you've been hit by an especially annoying variety.

Mine never made it on the car. I work for the dealership and when I ordered my car(there weren't any on the lot or available anywhere near), I told them that if they put the sticker on I wouldn't buy it. The salesman tried to argue the point saying, "Well, don't you want to advertise where you bought it?" So I told them to put one of the license plate frames with the dealers name on my car instead.
Vic's almost done... thats sorta depressing...

I like the shaved look... no dealer tags, no car maker tags, just the ocasional factory symbol... but as for making the dealer take off the sticker for you... IMO that is risky since they will just go at your paint with a razor blade... I just dont trust people I dont know w/ my paint and a sharp object...
I freaked on the dealer when i bought my car because i told them NOOO pinstripes and they put them on and there we razor blade cuts where they ended the stripes had the whole car recleared grrrr. also i live in PA and we dont have to have front plate on our cars but i bought the car in NY and they do so there was a plate mount on it with the holes screwed in the front bumper. Had to have them fixed because they look like crap all better now though.

My (toyota) dealership had a front license plate, rear license plate frame, and decal on the trunk of my car. All thrown out within a week (had no time initially and was too cold)

my dealership puts license plate frames on, but as soon as i got my plates i put a tinted cover on there. then i got my 7thgen license plate frame so i bought a tinted flat cover and put it on there with that.
there is a dealership in pullman, washington (about 70 miles away from here), and since washington state university is in pullman, they put "WSU cougars" emblems on all the cars they sell. talk about ghey.

Its easy to take off. I had a small one on my trunk. I use a hair dryer to heat up the sicker then started peeling from a corner and it came of easy. Then I put some wax in the area.
luckily my dealer where i buopght m,y vic doesnt put decals on or badges, all they put on is a license plat holder with their logo
still have it on and dealer tags as well.....too lazy to put on license plates

i took my civic one off the trunk a couple of months after I got my car... used a screwdriver warpped in a cloth but the screwdriver went theru the cloth and I got some paint chips that I touched up
doesn't look too bad but I can tell and I hate it so bad becuase its the biggest cosmetic blemish

my dealer put a small vinyl decal on my car on the trunk on the opposite side of where the Civic one was... just peeled it off not too long after my car was new
