Well after my car being in the shop for 2 months, I thought today was going to be the day I was gonna get my car back. Two weeks prior to today the body shop has been telling me that my car would be done. Well today they finally called me to tell me it was done and that I should pick it up. I get there, tell em im there to pick it up, and then all hell breaks loose. I give the lady my debit/credit card so I can pay my deductable on the car but she gives it back saying they dont accept them. She said they only accept cash or check. Then they ask me to write out an addictional check for $792.50 because the insurance company hasn't paid them that much yet. I'm thinking to myself "my insurance company jus threw u guys 8 grand for all the work n u want me to do this?" I just look at her n say "are you ****ing kidding me?" She immediatly gets the manager up there n he explains to me that they wont cash the check. First off, I dont have my checkbook down here at school. So he tells me then we are going to have to wait for my insurance company to send them the check for the additional money. In a pissed off tone, I ask him if i can see my car. Go back, see that car looks good. I turn it on, everything is working accept the one thing I told them I needed fixed, some of the interior lighting. the owner then tells me the insurance company never said if they could do it or not and that I told him about it only a few days ago. As soon as he said that, I flipped out. I told the ****er on three different occassions that there was a problem and it needed to be fixed. He then goes on telling me that my insurance company has been giving them a hard time and all this bs. I get out of my car and say "u know what, **** this. im gonna call my insurance company to see what is really up. I was already pissed at you guys for taking so long with my car and for the consistent lying about when it will be ready. now I come here, u want me to fork over almost another $800 on top of my $500 deductable n u didnt do one of the more important things that had to be done. if i dont get my car back within the next two weeks, all hell is gonna break loose." i slam my door shut, tell my friend lets get the **** out of here, n we leave. now my insurance company wouldn't pay for my rear bumper to be fixed because they believe it had prior damage before the accident(which it did from a drunk driver hitting it on my parking lot one night). i'm pissed off about that and how i would have to put it under a dif claim but the rear wit paint isnt even over my $500 deductable. i dont know what to do now, im just stressed out over all the bs from me gettin hit. i want my f'in car back sometime before the summer. any suggestion? n by suggestion i mean ones that will actually work, not dumb ones. im just ready to call my uncle who is lawyer n tell him this bs.
